Hold Shares Electronically

Switching from paper to electronic is easy, simply complete and return the correct from.

If you hold paper share certificates, you can put them in your account to be held electronically allowing you to view all of your holdings online. This facility is referred to as a Nominee Service. The TD Waterhouse Nominee Service is offered alongside a trading account.

New Customers to TD Waterhouse

You will need to open a Trading or Trading Plus, Account with Nominee facilities. Apply online or request an application pack by post.

Existing TD Waterhouse Customers

You just need to complete and sign a Crest Transfer Form for each stock held and return to us with your share certificates.

The easiest way to do this is to login and use our Crest Transfer Form Generator to create pre-filled Crest Transfer Forms in PDF format which you can then download, print out and sign. Once logged in go to Payments and Transfers/Transfer Shares In.

Alternatively, you can send us a letter stating your name and account number, and the quantity of each stock you wish to transfer. We will then send you pre printed transfer forms for you to sign, please return these to us together with your certificates.

Or you can download blank CREST Transfer Forms and complete them yourself, returning them to us with the appropriate certificates. Please ensure the details on the transfer forms match exactly with those on your certificate irrespective of spelling mistakes.

Please note: you will need to complete and sign a separate CREST Transfer Form for each stock you wish to transfer to us.

We do not charge a transfer-in fee but there may be an exit fee from your current provider.

This process will take approximately 10 working days.
