Fund My TD Waterhouse Account

Fund My Account

You can fund your TD Waterhouse account by debit card, cheque or bank transfer (BACs or CHAPS).

By Debit Card

You can make a debit card payment online up to £10,000 using a Switch/Maestro or Visa/Delta card if you live in the UK. Login to your TD Waterhouse account and go to 'Payments and Transfers/Fund my Account'. We are unable to accept payments made by credit card.

If you wish to make a payment over £10,000, live outside of the UK or have a different card please call us on 0845 607 6002, or 0044 0161 819 6497 from outside the UK.

After you make a payment it will be shown on your 'Account History' immediately. In some cases your trading limit may only be updated overnight, after you have made a payment.

If your trading limit does not update immediately and you wish to place a trade against a recent payment please call us on 0845 607 6002.

By Cheque

Please send a cheque made payable to 'TD Waterhouse' with your TD Waterhouse account number written on the back to:

Your money will start to earn interest 2 working days after the day we receive your cheque and you can withdraw your money 4 working days after we receive it.

By Bank Transfer

If you have banking facilities or a Savings Account with TD Waterhouse you can fund your account by bank transfer. If you don't have banking facilities or a Savings Account but want to use a bank transfer to fund your TD Waterhouse Account please telephone us on 0845 607 6002 for the correct transfer details.

Please note that it is not possible to fund your ISA Account by Bank Transfer, to fund an ISA you can send a cheque or pay by debit card over the telephone.

BACS

You can transfer funds in UK Sterling to your TD Waterhouse account via BACS (Bank Automated Clearing System). You will need to ask your bank to transfer funds to:

Account name: TD Waterhouse Bank N.V.
Acc number/ref: 0 (zero) followed by your 7 digit trading account number
Sort Code: 60-94-69
Bank name: NatWest, Manchester City Centre Branch
Bank Address: 11 Spring Gardens, Manchester, M60 2DB

Important Notes:
A BACs transfer will take approximately 4-6 working days for funds to clear in your TD Waterhouse Account. Please ensure your trading account number is provided with the instruction in order that we can allocate your funds to the correct account.

CHAPS

You can transfer UK Sterling or foreign currency to your TD Waterhouse account using CHAPS (Clearing House Automatic Payments System). Please be aware that banks normally charge for this service.

The transfer from your bank to TD Waterhouse is made the same day, however, our Payment Services Team do not receive confirmation of the payment until the following morning, upon which, we endeavor to allocate the payment within 2 working days.

Please note foreign CHAPS are not received by TD Waterhouse on the same day of transfer and can take up to 10 working days to allocate to your account.

By Direct Debit

If you operate a TD Waterhouse Certificated Account, you can pay by direct debit or by cheque. To set up a direct debit from your bank simply complete the Direct Debit form and return it to us.

Withdraw Funds

You can withdraw money from your account by Cheque, BACS or CHAPS.
